We celebrated our Christmas a little early in NC since we were headed home to Kentuckiana for the week of Christmas. The kids opened their stockings early, and they let Phil and I sleep a little later while they played with what was inside. It was hardly 7am before we were all downstairs to open gifts. The kids were super excited.
Talking birds and legos were a big hit. They both also liked the gifts they picked out for each other. Claire got Avery Avenger potato heads, and Avery got Claire a play broom and dustpan (maybe she'll want to help Mom out around the house!).
Their favorite gifts though were the new bikes and helmets! Avery had worn out his hand-me-down bike, and Claire was ready for a "big girl bike." They couldn't wait to get them outside, even in the cold!
Claire wanted to open Phil's stocking, too, but we had to draw the line somewhere. :)
Phil and I got dressed up for the squadron Christmas party...
