A few weeks ago, we took Claire to see her first movie at the theater. We all went to see The Good Dinosaur here in Goldsboro. She was so excited and had been telling everyone about how she was going to the theater for several days before.

She and Avery both got movie snacks and helped us to pick out prime seats in the middle of the theater. It was busy but not too crowded, which worked out in our favor because Claire was blocked in on both sides but not too close to annoy anyone. She did well for a little bit, but then she got antsy. She moved from her seat to Phil's lap... and then to my lap... and then back to her seat...and then down the row to a seat by strangers. Sigh. In her defense, the movie wasn't that great. *Spoiler alert~ Thankfully, Avery didn't burst into tears when the dad died (he's my emotional one), though he was sad. Claire however proclaimed loudly "That's funny!" right at the sad part. Oh dear. I think she's the one we need to worry about...
After the show, they wanted their picture taken with Darth Vader. We won't be seeing that movie with them, though. ;) I think we'll wait a bit longer before taking her to her next movie. I am glad we made it through her first one and that the kids had a good time!
