Happy New Year, everyone! Phil and I actually stayed up until the ball dropped this year because we went to a party at our friends, Pete and Sarah's. It worked out great because Avery slept upstairs in their pack and play the whole night, and he didn't even wake up from the fireworks or the banging of the pots and pans! It was a pajama party, so we were super comfy and got to go straight home and hop in bed afterward.
There was lots of beer pong involved, on Phil's part (he and Pete were the champs!), and we felt like we were back in college again...minus the oh so cool baby monitor we were sporting all night. : )
Avery didn't get his New Year's picture taken until today...he wasn't quite sure about wearing mom's "crown" but did like chewing on the noise maker.
We have a lot to be thankful for this year. Some of our 2010 highlights include:
- Phil's safe return from his 3rd deployment
- fun "babymoons" to Winter Park and St. Augustine, FL
- Phil's promotion to Captain in May
- our 4 year wedding anniversary May 13th
- the birth of our beautiful baby boy May 23rd
- Avery's baptism July 18th with his family and godparents in attendance
- our first family (of three) vacation to Key West in October
- Phil turned 27, Lindsey 26, Sam 4, and Bailey 3
-getting to spend Avery's first Christmas with family (and without tubes!)
Praying for a healthy and happy 2011!
