The kids are loving their new bikes from Christmas and are excited for any sunny day to be able to get out and ride in the culdesac. Avery is especially excited to now be able to start and stop his bike all by himself. Any uncertainty he once had has been replaced by confidence that he can now do it all by himself and keep up with the bigger neighbor boys. We all (Claire included) even rode all the way around the Maplewood circle (a little over a mile). The next step will be teaching Claire to ride without her training wheels so she can better keep up with brother!
Getting himself started was the hardest part!
Off he goes!
