Pavilion Neighborhood Picnic

Today was our subdivision's annual picnic, and despite the heat and humidity, we made an appearance (wouldn't want to be unsocial!). Everyone was to bring a dish, and they supplied the hot dogs, hamburgers, and drinks. We walked to the clubhouse, Phil pushing Avery and me carrying the pasta salad, and we were already sticky and sweaty by the time we got there. Yay, Florida... They had a bouncy house, which Avery was too young for, and face painting. Since he's a baby, they painted his leg instead.

Avery was not too excited or quite sure what to think about the whole idea, but settled down some with Mom holding him.

It kind of looks like a giant gash in his leg (good thing these paintings were free!), but it's really a basketball with flames!

We took a quick ride on the swings before heading home, and Avery just laughed and laughed at me swinging next to him. I'm sure he was thinking, "Mom, you're way too old for this!"

Happy boy!

Lastly, I had to include a picture of the beautiful flowers Phil brought home for me on Friday "just because." What a lucky girl I am! :)
