New House Tour

We've been in our NC house, well most of us ;), for several months, and I'm just now getting around to posting some pictures. We (mostly Phil) rushed around like crazy getting everything hung up and put together before Phil left. Although I was excited to be settled right away, it has felt a lot like limbo being here without him. I can't wait until we're all together, and our new house will finally be HOME.

Can we all just take a minute to appreciate the porch and the trees in the yard?! We have trees!! (The post where I discuss the joys of raking all these leaves and the pine straw in the fall is yet to come...)

The kids are able to climb the trees! The birds love them, too. In fact, we can't keep enough bird food in the feeder, which is another first!

Living room (sorry about the lighting!). We are excited about the fireplace for the winter (yes! We'll have winter here!)

The screened-in porch and deck are off the living room.

Playroom (off the living room)

Upstairs (hall bath to the left, up-up to the right, master behind, and then Avery's room all the way at the end)

Avery's room (2nd floor, above the garage)

He loves his skylight for "looking at the stars!"

Claire's room... Hers is a little smaller, but she gets the big walk-in closet. She also loves that the crate-myrtle trees outside her windows have pink blooms "just for her."

The kids'/guest bathroom

Master bedroom (with the new bed Phil made us!)

Master bath- His/hers vanities- whoohoo!

An official guest bedroom (make your reservations now!)

The "up-up" (office/exercise video room, on the 3rd floor across from a walk-in attic)

Dining room

Breakfast nook/eat-in kitchen

 Kitchen

Downstairs half bath

One last one of the trees!
