The kids and I were really excited that Phil was able to come home from OK for the long Labor Day weekend. We took advantage of the nice weather and headed straight to lunch and Pullen Park after picking him up from the airport.
This park has an indoor carousel, which the kids loved. At only a dollar a ride and in the air conditioning, we spent a good deal of time in this part of the park.
It was a big decision each time as to which animal to ride on...
Another cool feature of this park was the train that went around the grounds. So fun!

Right before it started to rain, the kids snuck in a few rides on these cute boats. Each boat even had its own little bell to ring.

It was really nice to have Phil home for the weekend, but it was really hard to take him back to the airport the next week. One month to go. Goodbyes are hard, but we're looking forward having him back home to stay for a while!
