Snow Days!

Well, we got more ice than snow, but it has been an exciting couple of days for us Floridians anyway. There are no salt trucks in FL, only dump trucks filled with sand, so when the ice came, everything shut down. Base closed early on Tuesday, and Phil was able to come home at noon. He didn't have to go into work at all today, and Avery's preschool has been canceled so we've had lots of family bonding time! We are starting to go pretty stir crazy, but at least we're all together, and the kids (and I!) are loving getting to spend so much extra time with Phil.

Icicles hanging from everywhere!

We played games, watched movies, and played with play-doh to pass the time.

Avery really wanted to play in the snow and "build a snowman"...poor guy. He and Phil went out to investigate, but it was all ice and no snow.

Planning to rake some icy snow together for the world's smallest snowman. Fail. :(

10 minutes to bundle up for about 5 minutes spent outside :/ Oh well. We'll save the snow men for the grandparents' houses!

We are looking forward to temperatures back near the 70s by the weekend!
