Christmas in Kentuckiana

We had a great time at home with family for Christmas. It's always nice to have extra hands to play with and love on the kids, and we really value time with our family since we don't get to come home very often.

Christmas Eve was spent at Aunt Mary Jo's and Uncle Terry's house. Claire came down with a cough and mild fever earlier in the day, so she and Phil had to stay behind. Avery loved opening his gifts...he was so excited! He also did a good job of saying "thank you." He was so exhausted afterwards that he wanted me to find him a "special place" to sleep while we were still there.

Block time with Uncle Ralph!

Christmas morning was spent at my mom and dad's. The kids actually let us wait until about 8am before opening their presents. Shelley and I made a yummy crockpot breakfast casserole, too.

Dad reading the Christmas story....

Planes!

Dan was super excited about his leaf blower and Duck Dynasty dvds!

We love our Grandpa!

Claire loved her silver cup from Aunt Shelley and Uncle Dan! Definitely too nice to go in the play kitchen!

Next, came all the excitement of Christmas at the Stephens house!

Worn out from all the fun...

Happy Couples!

The two fly guys...like father, like son. :) So happy that Papaw was home for all the festivities this year!

Aunt Naomi and Uncle Cory helping Avery make the birthday cake for Jesus...

It's a masterpiece!

Dad, can I have one of these for Christmas?!?

Mischievous ;)

Yay for "safety" themed white elephant gifts!

Aunt Naomi is so much fun!

He's number 1! ;)

Loving some of Aunt Sue's chocolate suckers!

Quality time with Aunt Shelley and Uncle Dan!

We enjoyed dinner at Uptown for Shelley's 27th birthday!
(even though poor Dan got food poisoning from his duck ravioli...)

We also loved our dinner out at the NA Exchange with Matt and Ashley and our playdate with the kids the next day!

My godson's getting so big (and handsome!)!

Avery insisted on wearing a tie to the playdate...

Evan's a cutie, too!

Claire doesn't know what to think about all of these fellas. ;)

Sibling lunch- super yummy meal at Cafe 27 in New Albany. Afterwards, the boys went to the gun show, and the girls went to Hobby Lobby and Target for after-Christmas decoration deals!

Everyone also had a lot of fun visiting with family in Cincinnati at Aunt Betty Jo's house...
(Uncle Bill has the coolest games! They were making movies. :) )

...and seeing a Christmas display at the Galt House.

Relaxing with Uncle Jared

Claire insisted on holding Ethan's hand after church and did not want to let go! I think someone needs to be reminded that there's no dating until she's 20ish. ;)

Enjoyed catching up with more great friends!

So much fun to play with new toys!

So blessed to spend the holidays with those we love! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
