This beauty of a bed was handmade by Phil in our garage for Avery. :) When he told me he wanted to make Avery's big boy bed, I was thinking "Sure, ok, dear...whatever you want." But in the back of my mind I was picking out back up beds, just in case. After less than $125 and a couple of days of hard work, it was ready to go. Modeled after a pottery barn design, it sits high enough to allow for a trundle to go underneath in the future. I'm thinking that I should start taking orders for Phil as a side job...although now that I've seen how truly talented he is, his honey-do list is growing longer and longer. ;) Avery loves his new bed, and it holds extra special sentimental value.
