Easter

Phil and I took the kids to church at Shepherd of the Hills in Georgetown, IN this Easter with the Stephens side of the family.  Living so far from home, we always enjoy being able to come back for holidays and love it when the kids get to spend time with relatives.

 Avery enjoyed the egg hunt, even if it did have to be moved inside because of yucky weather... At first he was very picky and only wanted to pick up certain colored eggs, but eventually he realized the more the better and got busy filling his basket.

 Claire and Uncle Jared, who had to escort her royal sleepy/cranky-ness outside the sanctuary for a bit during the service...She can't wait to join the egg hunt next year!

Although we enjoyed our egg hunts, baskets, and candy, Easter is to celebrate the most important event in history, the resurrection of Jesus Christ. 

 Mark 16:6 And he said to them, "Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen; He is not here; behold, here is the place where they laid Him. 

John 3:16-17 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him.

1 Corinthians 15:16-20 For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised; and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied. But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep.
