Santa Fly-In

This past Saturday was the children's Christmas party on base. Although the weather was anything but festive (hot!), we wanted to participate in the activities and see the highlight of the morning, Santa flying in on a helicopter. I think it was too warm for the reindeer. ;) We haven't really hyped up Santa to Avery (he's never been much of a fan), but he was excited to see him from a distance this year.

Waiting on Santa...

Santa's helicopter lands!

Avery enjoyed checking out the snowman and the fake snow that he was putting out.

The following isn't a good picture, but they had bubble wrap all over the floor for this kids to run around on and pop- a pretty fun idea. Avery was pretty unsure of the whole thing, but he'd watch the other kids, run out for just a second, and then quickly run back to stand by Mom and Dad.

Waiting in line for Christmas cookies and drinks with our friends, the Mottets.

The girls...
(Claire is not looking to happy to have her picture taken!)

Avery didn't want to play in the bouncy houses or do any crafts, but he was excited to ride on "Santa's train."

We didn't even attempt to have Avery sit on Santa's lap, but we had a great morning celebrating the season in other ways. There's always next year!
