We had a very blessed Christmas this year with friends and family. I'm sorry I'm so slow writing about it. Our little family celebrated our Christmas in FL on the 19th before we headed home to IN. Avery loved opening his stocking and presents and then helping Claire and Bailey with theirs, too.
Avery's biggest gift was a new train set for his train table. We found a great deal on it on Craigslist, and he was really excited when he saw it all set up in the playroom. Phil and I had a pretty good time putting it together the night before.
We had a lot of fun Christmas Eve at Aunt Mary Jo's and Uncle Terry's (sorry no pics!) and then came home to set out cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer.
Christmas morning at my parents came pretty early, but Aunt Shelley and Uncle Dan didn't seem to mind too much!
Reading the Christmas Story...
Not sure Grandpa was fully awake yet. ;)
Uncle Dan getting some Claire time!
Avery didn't know quite what to think about Dan's giant gummy bear from Aunt Shelley...
Next it was on to Phil's parents' house for more Christmas celebrating!
Sadly, Papaw had to fly most of the holiday, so we only got to see him for a few minutes. Hoping he'll come down to see us soon to make up for it!
Uncle Jared helped Avery with his "Happy Birthday, Jesus" cake.
We've had just a few pictures of the two of us taken in front of this tree!
Avery and Claire got lots of loving from the aunts and uncles!
More presents to open!
Claire got a new snail from Nana and Papaw to encourage her in her tummy time...she loved the snail but quickly figured out a way to look at it on her back just as well. Here she is enjoying a few brief seconds on her belly:
I think she likes Uncle Tim's face as much as any present!
Aunt Courtney with Claire and Avery- so excited that she and Ross are expecting a little one of their own later this year!
The siblings (those that hadn't yet succumbed to the stomach flu that we all spread around) got together for a nice dinner downtown.
We got quite a lot of snow while home, so the Florida kids got bundled up to stay warm!
Tired from all the excitement!
Baby Claire's first Christmas!
We had a great trip home, despite passing around a horrible stomach bug. We called it the Ross/Stephens post holiday weight loss plan. ;) It was really nice to see everyone, but we wish we would have been healthy enough to make it to Cinci to see the rest of the family. There's always next year! 2012 was a very exciting year for us- move to Pensacola, new job for Phil, and the birth of our baby girl. We are excited to see what 2013 has in store for us!
