Last week was a big week here at the Stephens' household. It started with Mother's Day on Sunday and then Phil's 28th birthday on Monday. Phil missed both of these because of a work trip to Southern CA that got extended. Don't feel too sorry for him, though...while I was at home with a grouchy, teething, non-napping Avery, he was at an Embassy Suites on the ocean, eating dinner in Hollywood, and playing 18 holes of golf. Sigh. This trip was the beginning of Phil's upgrade process to aircraft commander, which should take a couple of months. We are excited and very proud of him!
By the time Monday rolled around, I decided to keep the sitter we had scheduled for Phil's birthday dinner and treat myself to shopping and a movie (Water for Elephants). It was so nice to get out by myself for a little bit, and Avery didn't miss me at all.
Phil made it home the next day, and we went out to Charlie's for our big Phil's birthday/ anniversary dinner. Yes, our 5th anniversary was on Friday...told you it was a big week! Dinner was fabulous, followed by birthday shopping, and cheesecake at Cheesecake factory. I didn't get any pics of us at dinner, but here's Phil in his new birthday golf outfit! (Thanks, Mom and Dad, for his Dick's gift card!)
Over the weekend we headed to Orlando to see Sea World, eat at Rainforest Cafe, and do some outlet mall shopping. Here are a few pics:
This week should be pretty tame, but the following week we start to welcome family to town to help celebrate Avery's first birthday. We can't wait to see everyone!!
