It's hard to believe it, but our big guy is ready to move on to the first grade in the fall! He's learned so much this year in Mrs. Smith's kindergarten class! He's reading, doing math, writing paragraphs... He's worked really hard, and we are really proud of him! His class put on a little program for the parents the last week of school...
Holding the flag for the pledge of allegiance...
Singing songs!
When it was his turn, he told everyone "I want to be a knight and a soldier when I grow up so that I can help people." :)
"Look, Mom! My first ribbon!" He earned a ribbon for having his artwork displayed during the school year (both at the mall and the superintendent's office).
Only four of his classmates, including Avery, made 100% on every spelling test during the year!
Avery grabbed a quick picture with his teacher, Mrs. Smith (top) and his teaching assistant, Mrs. Davis (bottom).
Ready to catch the bus on the last day of school! He was sad to leave Mrs. Smith's class but is excited to officially be a "grader!"
Not quite sure about all the words but still cute! ;) We had to look up the Adams Family theme song to show him afterwards, and he made us play it over and over!
