This was Avery's first summer to be able to do an all day church camp. He LOVED it. It went from 9-3 the whole week, and both he and his friend Will went together, and we moms carpooled. A group of energetic teens/young adults from Agape Beach Camp came to Good Shepard Lutheran Church (also where Claire has preschool) and put on an excellent day camp for first grade and up (He was the youngest there). Avery came home teaching us new songs and prayers and games each afternoon and had no trouble falling asleep at night. He was exhausted! He even slept in until at least 7 every morning...pretty unusual for him.
The last day of camp, they put on a little performance for friends and family.
"I just wanna be a sheep....baa baa baa baa!"
Ice cream social after the last day! (Good thing you don't need front teeth for ice cream!) Claire didn't mind tagging along. ;)

He told me afterwards that he wishes he could go to camp every day, and he's already looking forward to next year!
