We had a snow day on Friday! School was actually canceled the night before due to "threat of inclement weather." In NC, just the threat of bad weather is enough to shut everything down. I was super happy, however, to not have to get up early to get Avery on the bus, and the kids were happy to have more playtime together and with Mimi and Grandpa before they had to leave the next day.
As soon as they saw the snow start to fall, they insisted on bundling up to go out and play. It was more like ice than snow and didn't stick to much of anything but the trampoline and the swing set, but they still had a good time.
Bailey is crazy and loves the cold weather. She was actually lounging blissfully in below freezing temps watching the kids play while the ice fell all around her.
The kids had the idea of filling up their cups with snow/ice to make snowcones later in the day. Needless to say, the cups did not get filled, and snowcones weren't made, but the kids were pretty cute trying.
