Christmas 2014

We had a wonderful Christmas first here in Florida and then at home in Louisville.

Avery was up bright and early on our Florida Christmas to open his stocking...lots of super hero trinkets. 

Claire was up not soon after, and they could hardly wait to open their gifts.

She didn't need quite as much help this year...

Avery loved his batman and ninja turtle toys and Claire her Minnie Mouse doll and her Tinker Bell dress.

Phil even got cool iron man socks from the kids!

While at home, we had a great dinner and dessert out with the Stephens siblings.

Wiltshire for dinner and then Homemade Pie Kitchen for dessert...yum!

Date night! ;)

Avery is pretending to not want a piggy back ride from Uncle Ross...but we were really happy to get to see him during his quick trip to town.

Claire took over Grandpa's computer with her minnie mouse and elmo shows...

We enjoyed a lot of quality time with Uncle Jared, too!

Christmas Eve was spent at Uncle Terry and Aunt Mary Jo's,  and we had a great time with family. It had been too long since we'd seen everyone! Thankfully, no one was sick this year, and we were all able to be there.

The littlest cousins had a blast opening gifts, eating sweets, and staying up way past bedtime!

Christmas morning...

(the kids may have woken Uncle Dan and Aunt Shelley up a little bit early) ;)

I think Mimi was hiding from the camera, but I promise she was there, too!

So excited to be Raphael, his favorite Ninja!

Puzzles and the fishing game were a big hit at Nana and Papaw's.

Nana made dress up outfits!! (though they don't go on your head...)

The kids made birthday cakes for Jesus and everyone joined in in singing "Happy Birthday."

The kids helped Grandpa to trim the (massive) tree out front. 

We were so excited to visit with Aunt Ashley, Uncle Matt, Logan, and Evan, too, while home.

Nana made everyone capes, and they had a great time being super heroes... 

and building legos.

Last stop was Cincinnati to see the Howe side of the family and do some crazy dirty santa swapping...there were more than 30 of us! 

We loved getting to spend so much time with friends and family over the holidays. The kids were disappointed there was no snow to build a snowman, but I was just glad it was safe to drive around and that no one got sick! Happy Birthday, Jesus!...the reason for the season.
