Fourth of July Weekend

We had a great Fourth of July weekend, especially because Phil had a few extra days off.

The first place we headed was to the beach!

Claire tried corn on the cob for the first time. I think she liked it!

We started our fireworks early (a few small ones, poppers, and sparklers) because the kids can't stay awake until dark. They didn't seem to mind and had a good time!

No one got burned, thankfully!

Avery refused to sleep so he got to stay up later and watch the neighbor's impressive fireworks. He didn't like the noise, so he borrowed Phil's ear protectors. :) Claire slept through it all!

One of the days we tried out the Navarre splash pad and playgrounds for the first time. It took us twice as long to get there because Claire peed through her diaper and onto her only swim suit about 10 minutes from our house. We ended up stopping into a store for a new swim suit on the way. After finally getting there and eating lunch we were ready to play! The fountains are right by two big playgrounds and on the water. The best part was that it's free! Claire was more interested in the rinse off shower than the actual fountains, and we had to keep dragging her away from it, but overall, we all had fun!
