Avery turned 3 years old the 23rd, and we had a Cars themed party with a bouncy house on the following Saturday to celebrate. Mimi and Grandpa were able to come down and were a lot of help in getting things ready for all the company. There were 7 kids that came to play and 15 adults, so it was a great turn out. Thankfully, the weather was beautiful. Avery started off the party in a pretty cranky mood, but thankfully, he warmed up to everyone a little way into the festivities. The bouncy house didn't get a whole lot of use, but the kids had a good time in the airconditioning playroom. ;) Avery took a few bites of his cake but liked the ice cream much better. He received a lot of very nice gifts from his friends and helped mommy with his thank you notes. It's hard to believe he's already 3!
Seems like just yesterday...
We have come a long way!
On his actual birthday he got to open one present from us in the morning and the rest after Daddy got home from work.
He was so worn out from playing that he fell asleep waiting for Phil to get home.
His favorite gift from us was his remote control truck!
Day of the party:
Putting on special cars tattoos...even Mimi and Claire got one!
Avery put his balloons in his closet because he didn't want to have to share them with his friends. :/
There was a memorial day cook-out in our neighborhood after the birthday party...busy day!

(We did take them out of his bed after he fell asleep!)
Avery went crazy while we sang happy birthday to him because apparently he wanted to be the one to sing. :)
