Last Wednesday, we made the short treck over to Gulf Shores, Alabama to meet up with my cousin Lesley and her family who were visiting from IL. It was so great to see them, and the girls were really sweet with Avery. At first, Avery didn't know what to think of all the sand and refused to let Phil put him down, but it didn't take too long before he sat down and began to play. We were there several hours, and the girls and the sand kept Avery completely entertained. He even cried and put up a fight when it was time to leave.
I didn't get many good pictures because I confined my uber pregnant self to a comfy chair under the umbrella and enjoyed the breeze and several bottles of water.
Playmates: Kennedy, Maddy, and Hope! Avery referred to them as "babies," as he does everyone who's not an adult, and still asks where they are since coming home. He wants to go "back to the beach and play with the babies." :)

Avery didn't want to play in the water and didn't like when the water came up to his feet (and made his feet get "stuck" in the sand), but he did enjoy having us fill up his buckets so he could dump them.
The girls talked Phil into riding some waves with them.
