Before Papaw left for home, Avery and I got somewhat of a VIP tour at the UPS hub in Clearwater. It was really neat to walk out on the flight line and see the airplanes up close. We've gotten to do this with Phil's plane after deployments but never Papaw's.

We even were able to go inside one. Phil's dad calls the back "the bowling alley." It does kind of look like one. The floor is covered with little roller balls so the crates of packages can slide in and out easily. Avery thought these "balls" in the floor were pretty cool.
Avery got to sit up front in the pilot seat and everything. This only lasted for a few seconds until he noticed all the buttons and knobs there to play with. Then mom had to quickly scoop him up before any damage could be done... sorry to the unsuspecting pilots who came along behind us if anything was out of place. :)
If we ask Avery who flies airplanes, he always says "Dad and Papaw," but lately he's been adding his name in there, too. Who knows? Maybe one day...He does look pretty cute in the pilot's seat.
