St. Patrick's Day Fun

Claire and I started the day by enjoying her school's field trip to see the Frozen Heart, put on by the Goldsboro ballet. The kids all did a wonderful job, and the costumes and scenery were pretty impressive. Marshmallow the snow monster was the coolest, and they even had "snow" confetti fall over the audience at the end. However, it turns out that it was a little disappointing to see a Frozen show with no singing. Whah whah....

Claire and her friend Evelyn were really excited to see the show! Claire wanted to wear her Elsa outfit so we had to accessorize with green jewelry to avoid getting pinched! She was pretty worried about who could pinch her, but I told her that it was only her family and friends and that it wasn't hard enough to hurt. ;) That seemed to make her feel better.

 Sweet girls!

After the ballet, Claire and I stopped into Krispy Kreme to get some green donuts for her and Avery and a box for Daddy's work. There was a 20 min. wait on the green glazed donuts, so we went inside and watched them come off the conveyer belt. Claire decided to eat her fancy sprinkle one while we waited, and we took another one home for Avery. He had worn his green Ninja Turtle shirt that day, and he was excited to tell me that two boys on his bus had on the same one. He was super pumped to come home to a special donut...but not interested in smiling for a picture. This is about as good as it gets these days.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
