Walking Bridge and Sweet Stop

We were blessed with plenty of nice weather while home in Southern Indiana. We decided to spend some time outdoors walking across the walking bridge and playing on the playground in Jeffersonville at the foot of the bridge.
The kids loved all the unique play equipment and quickly made friends with the other kids there. They even sat down under the slide in the shade to play with one kid's army soldier collection until I finally convinced them to stop playing so we could head to the bridge.

Our walk consisted of simply walking up to the bridge and then back down again....even that was a quite a hike for little legs and included lots of whining.

Thankfully, I was able to bribe them to keep going with the promise of candy from Schimpff's afterwards. We had never been there before, but it's a Southern Indiana landmark, and it did not disappoint.

I had soda from the old fashioned fountain, and the kids each picked out their own candy. We brought some of their famous cinnamon candy as a souvenir for Phil.

Everyone enjoyed watching candy being made! We will definitely stop back here again!
