Last weekend, we had an extra special guest come to visit- Papaw! He had to work overseas during the holiday and didn't get to spend sick quality time with us while we were home, so we were really excited he could come to FL to see us.
Phil and Avery took Papaw to the Aviation Museum on Saturday:
Avery's flying in the "angel planes!"
Anchors Aweigh!
The next day we headed to the Gulf Breeze zoo after church:
It was a little zoo, but Avery loved getting up close to the animals and petting and feeding some of them.
The pretend animals were just as fun as the real ones!
This guy was not afraid of getting up close and personal.
Avery wanted to feed the llamas and shouted "Hi, llamas! Are you hungry llamas??" as we walked towards them with our feeding cup.
Right after we took the above picture, this llama stole the food cup from Avery and ended up dumping it all over the ground. Avery said "that's not nice."
Claire seemed to like the zoo, too, but was probably the most exited about just being out of her carseat.
Avery's favorite part of the day was riding on this train with Papaw. He was very excited but also a little nervous and held on to Papaw as they drove away.
We all had a lot of fun with Papaw, and Phil and I really enjoyed the extra set of hands to play with and help care for our babies. Hope to see you again soon, Papaw!
