Today we finally got up the courage to turn Avery's crib into a toddler bed. He's never climbed out, but we've caught him with a leg up on the side and figured at 2 1/2 years old we shouldn't put it off much longer. He was very excited about the new "big boy bed" and having the freedom to climb in and out. He did well at nap time and at bedtime, getting out to grab books and toys but always getting back in. He's been mostly staying dry now through the night, so we thought this would be a good next step.
And this is why we went out and bought a mesh railing later in the day...
Claire is getting bigger too and dying to try some real food. We finally gave in today and let her gnaw on a mum mum. She wasted no time trying to cram as much of it in her mouth as she should and even cried when it was all gone. Off to the store to buy rice cereal tomorrow, I think.
