He's Home!

Avery and I were so excited to get to pick Phil up from the airport today! Though not quite the same as a deployment, it's been a long 6 weeks! 

Avery and Mommy worked on a special sign to take to the airport. It's hard to see, but Avery colored all over the poster, while mom did the letters. (Can you tell he'd just woken up from a nap in the picture above?)

Reunited at last! Avery yelled "Daddy!" as soon as he saw Phil walking towards us, and he kept pointing to him in the car on the way home and saying "There's Daddy!" like he couldn't quite believe he was there in person (and not on Skype).

Phil brought Avery a toy airplane as a souvenir, and they had a great time playing with it as soon as we got home. He hasn't let it out of his sight since. Avery also enjoyed lots of overdue hugs, kisses, and wrestling with his Dad, too. :)

Love having my two best guys together again!
