First Haircut

On Phil's first day home, we wasted no time in going to get Avery's very first haircut. He was starting to have a little "mullet" action in the back, and I was having to tuck his hair on the sides behind his ears. Of course, this did not fly (no pun intended) for a military kid with Dad back in town. :)

We drove all the way across town to the "fancy mall" for this special salon for kids. It was pretty cute, I must say. Lots of things to look at everywhere and different fun vehicles for the kids to sit in while they get their trim. Here's Avery out front of Shortcuts!

Crawling around "pre-cut"...

Since the airplane was out of commission for repairs, we chose a fun jeep for Avery instead. He was not so sure about the whole thing in the beginning and started crying right away.

However, with lots of puffs as bribery, he began to warm up a little to the idea...

Taking a lot off the top- saved it for the baby book!

A "post-cut" picture and our very own special certificate!

All the excitement made him hungry!

Whoa, spikey! His stylist got a little carried away with the gel... :)

Goofing around with Dad in the play area

No outing to the mall would be complete without a trip on the carousel. This time with Dad!

Lastly, we introduced Dad to our favorite frozen yogurt- red velvet and cake batter...Avery let Phil have a few bites. ;)

Yum!

  1. Adorable! Andy can't stand for Evan's hair to touch his ears either. ;)
