Last morning at the hospital...Avery's new g-tube. This one is much more user friendly and actually works, most importantly. The little incision on his belly is where they had to go in to help place the g-tube (since they couldn't use his esophagus). Yes, we are buying more scar gel...
Mickey and Minnie were in town for Disney on Ice and stopped in to see the kids in the pediatric unit just in time for us to get our picture taken before heading home. Avery loved them! He couldn't stop staring. (I was not at all prepared for close ups, having gotten up at 5:30am, no makeup, bad hair, and covered in slobber...oh well. Everyone just wants to see the baby anyway, right?!?)
Our first real outfit in nearly a month (minus what we wore our one day at home). Avery's new favorite thing is to wave around his left hand, like this. He concentrates really hard and gets very excited if he actually touches something with all his reaching. I call it "the claw." Jim Carey, anyone?! He only really does this with his left hand which makes me think he may end up a lefty like his dad. : )
All strapped in and ready to go!
