My beautiful sister and awesome new BIL got married in May after a long engagement. She was a gorgeous bride, and the whole day was wonderful. We were honored to be a part of their special day. As Matron of Honor, I wasn't able to take pictures, so I'm so thrilled that Lang Thomas Photography did such a great job (and that Shelley and Dan bought the rights to all of the photos!).
The wedding took place at the Oxmoor Estate (http://www.voice-tribune.com/life-style-2/home-of-the-week/living-history/), a beautiful historic home and gardens in Louisville dating back to 1791 and originally owned by Alexander Bullitt, the co-drafter of Kentucky's first constitution and the commonwealth's first Lieutenant Governor. It was impressive to say the least.
The library looked like it belonged in a movie and provided a wonderful backdrop for our pictures, full of over 9,000 books and even secret doors tucked behind bookcases. If only we would have had more time to explore!

The moment Dan and Shelley first saw each other was super sweet. The wedding party looked on from a distance away, but the photographer got up close and personal with the pictures.
I may be biased, but I think she looked stunning in her dress!
Claire and Avery cooperated better than we could have expected, even if they weren't too big on smiling for the pictures.

Here comes the bride!
I can't believe these two held hands and walked the whole way down the "aisle" by themselves! It was certainly a proud mama moment.
Pastor K has now confirmed both Shelley and I, married us both, and baptized both of my kiddos. :) Uncle Bill, my Dad's brother and Shelley's godfather, read a passage of scripture. Super sweet!
We were so blessed and excited to have our families together to help us celebrate Shelley and Dan!
Dad gave a great speech even with his note cards at home! ;) There weren't many dry eyes in the house afterwards.
My speech went pretty well, too. I did have my note cards, though! Dan's brother gave an awesome speech, as well!
Dan's dad wasn't able to make a speech at the rehearsal dinner (no mike!), so he gave the newlyweds a toast on the wedding day, too!
Claire walked around like she owned the place, and Avery looked very grown up in his fancy clothes. He was quick to loose the jacket, but who can blame him in May!
Let's just pretend this is our family home...hehe.

It was a magical day! We are so happy for the newlyweds and glad to officially have Dan as a part of our family!
