Pumpkin Patch

 Phil and I took the kids to Sweet Seasons Farm with our Sunday school class yesterday, and we all had a great time! It was not fall like at all with temps in the high 80s, but at least there was a good breeze. Only in Florida would they sell snow-cones at a pumpkin patch instead of hot chocolate or hot apple cider! Made me wish even more that we were home for some Harvest Homecoming food!

Avery rode on the pony swing ride twice!

 The hayride was crowded and itchy, but it's our pumpkin patch tradition so we checked it off the list!

Claire went on her first pony ride! She told us as soon as she saw them that she wanted to ride the horses. She was a little hesitant to get on, and she held on to Phil's finger the whole time, but she did great! We were so proud of our big girl!

Avery decided that if Sissy could do it, he could, too, so he rode Cookie the pony right after she did. He didn't even need Mom to walk next to him, and he proudly showed off how he could ride with no hands!

 Mom and Avery tried out the kids' corn maze... We didn't attempt the adult size one (a tribute to Bubba Watson this year) because the kids were starting to melt down, and we decided getting lost with them in the middle of a maze wouldn't be the best idea.

 Claire loved playing in the giant tub of corn kernels!

Then the kids picked out their pumpkins!

Last was the petting zoo...

I think these are the cutest cows ever. :) The kids loved it when they actually heard them go "moo!"

We are certainly trying hard to get into the fall spirit, but it would be a lot better if the temperature would cool down a bit! The kids are already begging to paint their pumpkins, so next up will be a post on that, i'm sure!
