Elmo!

 The USO brought back the Elmo show to Pensacola NAS this year, and we were excited to take the kids again. Both of them were excited to go, especially since Phil was able to take off for the afternoon to go, too. 

Claire was a little scared at first, but was quickly clapping and dancing to the music. Avery was ok with the characters as long as they stayed on the stage (He's not a big fan of people in costumes), and he did a great job of sitting in our lap and paying attention. The auditorium filled with toddlers was crazy, as you can imagine it would be, but Phil and I survived and loved seeing the kids having a great time.

Our friends, the Mottets, joined us, too!

Both kids loved the spinning Elmo toys they got as souvenirs, except for the few minutes after Claire hit herself in the head with hers. :/ Claire kept talking afterwards about how she saw Elmo and Cookie Monster sing and dance around and that she wanted to go see Elmo again. Maybe next year?! Thank you, USO!
