Happy Halloween!

The kids had a fun and busy Halloween! They were Anna and Raphael this year. Avery only kept his mask on long enough to take a picture, however, and other pieces of his costume were gradually taken off as the night progressed.

We had a lot of fun at the Kiser's for a Trick-or-Treat tailgate before we hit the pavement.

What a cute bunch of trick-or-treaters! It was a great night for trick-or-treating, cool and dry. We handed out over 1000 pieces of candy! (Some kids may have taken more than the suggested 2...) Our kiddos loved running from house to house and kept us on our toes trying to keep up with them. Avery said that Halloween was "the best night ever!"

The kids also had fun decorating their pumpkins. Claire wanted to paint hers again. Avery insisted on carving his...which meant that Phil carved and Avery watched. ;) I carved mine, while Phil took the easy way out and stuck on his pumpkin's facial features.

Claire (second from the right) had fun at her preschool's fall pumpkin festival. I volunteered at the pumpkin ring toss and then walked around with her as she tried out each activity.

She walked the plank, ate a spooky snack, and hula hooped. She also loved the bounce house and making Halloween crafts.
