Yesterday was a beautiful day, so we decided to make the short trip over to Destin. It is such a pretty drive, and it's nice to have a change of scenery every now and then. We headed to Destin Commons, a really nice outdoor shopping center with a great playground and splash pad. We also love to eat at Zoe's Kitchen ("healthy" fast food) which is conveniently located right next to the play area. The kids had a great time, and, other than having to chase Claire down every couple of minutes, we had a great time, too. ;)
Claire ran around like crazy but mostly avoided the fountains.
Avery was hesitant to get started, but once we agreed to let him get his shirt wet, too, (we only had an extra pair of shorts for him), he played and played.
No trip to Destin would be complete without a stop in Bass Pross Shop to see fish and ride on the boats and 4 wheelers. It's also where Phil grabbed a new shirt (on sale) for Avery after soaking the only one we'd brought.
She's ready to drive your boat, Grandpa! ;)

We had a great day trip, and Avery is already asking to go back!
