Valentine's Day Fun

We had a great Valentine's Day this year! It started out with the kids finding their gifts from us (new movies for both, a necklace and bear for Claire, and robot building blocks for Avery- most all consignment; don't tell!). Then we got to work making peanut butter cookies and valentines for Daddy.

Avery has been under the weather, so his only job was to "smush" the cookies with the fork. He did a great job!

After making valentines, the kids came up with a new game to play. Yay, they are playing together, and no one is crying!! ;)

Next, we got to work "cooking" in our aprons!

That night, Phil and I went to a special Valentine's Day dinner/social at our Sunday school class leaders' home. The food was delicious (better than eating out!), we sat at decorated tables and ate off of fine china, and we learned how to play a new card game- kemps. We had a great time getting out for a "date" and getting to know the couples in our class a little better.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day, too, with their loved ones!
